Writing Is Like Sex

This post has been seen 5034 times.

Writing is like sex, sometimes you are in the mood for it and sometimes you are not…either way you have to do it to give birth to your ideas. Unfortunately there is no viagra for writing (trust me I’ve searched) but there are unique conditions that help stimulate the writing juices of different writers. For some the rising of the sun is what stimulates their writing senses, for others it is the dead of the night when no one can hear the groans and moans of their thoughts. Some love to do it in bed, while others enjoying do it on the couch while watching TV. Some are able to do 2 articles at the same time, while others prefer just a single article at a time. Some do it with slow music in the background, while others do it with no music at all. Some love to do it in public places, while others love to do it in the privacy of their homes…discovering what turns you on as a writer is key to getting your blog pregnant with your words. Study your writing habits and strive to find the perfect conditions that optimizes your writing output.

  1. I’m still trying to study my writing habits. I have a lot to write about, but most of the time, I’m so tired to put them down. I wish I could just say the things I want to write and they would automatically appear in my blog as a post..:-D. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now following you.

P.S: Interesting that you write with the lights turned off.

    • I feel you about the tiredness. The one technique that has really helped me overcome that, is to type with my blackberry once the thought rushes into my head. Because, the irony is that the thoughts jump into my head when I am half asleep and when that happens I can easily whip out my BB and get typing.

I’m not super familiar with that area , but it looks to me like the cssleot location listed on the chart is Farmington, with a date of May 1. If you tend to have similar weather to Farmington, I would use that date. You’re right on the edge of the two groups. If it is a mild winter/spring and you are excited, I would follow the yellow schedule. If it is a cold winter-spring and you are more relaxed, I would use the green schedule.

What I ment to say is If there are no points for ranicg, whats the point of ranicg every weekend? I thought that the point races was designed to bring the racers back every weekend and help the track with more entry fees. Without something drawing you to the track every weekend its open leaves more time for a person to do other things he or she could or should do on the weekends. I will be out there every chance I get. Its an outstanding experience with great people ranicg and officiating the track. Thanks Wade
