Who Lies More #BokoHaram Or The #Nigeria Government?

This post has been seen 3903 times.

Boko Haram claims Abubakar Shekau is still alive but their latest video seems to shows an out of focus new leader … see below…

liarsThe Nigerian Government on the other hand have claimed to reach a cease-fire agreement with Boko Haram but then in actuality they have not … because the terror is yet to cease. At the end of the day it’s all just a battle of liars …

Each faction telling a different lie to prove that they are much stronger than reality tells. And what ends up happening is complete media confusion…

Shekau is dead no wait he is not … o wait he is. Chibok girls have been kidnapped oh no they have not … no wait they have … but they are about to be released …. no wait we take that back.

At the end of the day it is a like a game of musical chairs … except that after the music stops there is no winner … just victims.

  1. The lack of transparency especially from the Nigerian Government is appalling, yet not surprising. It’s sad that the Human life of the less privileged has no value in Nigeria.

I’ll have double whatever you’ve taken dude.” …the Nigerian govt will come out tops- anytime, any day regardless of the odds”??? Seriously? Are you referring to the same government or is there some other Nigeria I’m not aware of?

  2. I think the question should be “whose lies hurt us the most?”, in which case I’ll have to say the government wins.
When these terrorists tell their own version of lies, people are aware of the threats posed by these savages and are therefore able to make decisions on how to best protect themselves (seeing as the government has proved incapable in that regard). But when the government and its pot bellied, overfed and undertrained “security agencies” keep putting out (and retracting) false news headlines of alleged rescues and capture of the terrorists, they give Nigerians a false sense of security which only leaves us exposed to more danger.

  3. Hmmm…. You’re right Ofili. Both parties are lying about something or the other. The part that sent me cold shivers was the part that the girls have been married off to Book Haram members. That just scared me to bits…I fear we’ve lost them forever, and their destinies shattered forever.

  4. While it is understandable that terrorism is new to the Nigerian security atmosphere, it is very unreasonable of the Nigerian government to open wide its mouth on every security activity it is conducting in order to paint itself as functional (and maybe a tool for political campaign); a smart government only declassifies an intel when there are tangible present, short and long-term proofs of such intel. No sane government will make a move for negotiation with a terrorist group and vomit it to the press until there is an irrefutable tangible proof of the negotiation outcome; and if there’s none, the negotiation remains classified and the government keeps working through its security forces.
