The @maximusoptimus1 Anti BullShit Letter That Reminded Me Why I Write

This post has been seen 1684 times.

I received this letter from @maximusoptimus1 at the Abuja Literary Society event last Friday.

anti bs letter

And it came at a time where I was beginning to question the objectivity of my political writing. A time where I wanted to write neutral political articles that made both sides happy.

But then I got the letter, which reminded me about what I stood for “Addicted to Truth and Allergic to Bullshit”

I guess in a way this letter showed me the BS in neutral political articles or diluted articles written to please everyone. Thanks Maximus for reminding me of why I write!

  1. Sometimes, we forget to remind you of who you are because you write so ‘strongly’; we think you always know who you are so you don’t need us to remind you!

But we do and Maximus has…so…go forth and do what you do best…write…strongly!
    Kudos.

  2. Okanube got it right. Most times, people don’t realise or they just forget that strong people do have their moments of weakness as they are also humans.
And I believe that’s the case with you, we all see you as this strong person who stands up for the truth, for his beliefs that we don’t want to entertain any possible thoughts of you actually dealing with self doubts. But it happens to all of us, that ability to secondguess yourself sometimes, to wonder if you are truly on the right path; that’s what makes you a better person.
Anyway, a big thanks to Maximus for saying our minds.
