@okadabooks Named Top 40 African Innovations To Look Out For In 2015

This post has been seen 3196 times.

So I was je-je-lee minding my own business this evening when I stumbled upon a tweet from ‏@omojumiller that read:

In my head I read it as though someone was making a recommendation that okadabooks be included on that list.

So I nonchalantly clicked the link …

I saw people on the Top 40 list that had invented Robots, Anti-Malarial Soap and other uber crazy stuff that made me trip … when I stumbled upon one scraggy looking picture with the name Okechukwu Ofili and OkadaBooks. I was tripped and honestly surprised.

To be put on such a list is humbling, it does not matter that the sketch made me look funky or that the okadabooks stats the article used were back dated to like last year … I was just happy that we were recognized. And I say “we” because okadabooks is a team of many people that make okadabooks click ride.

From our Technical Manager in the Abroad that likes to keep his name private, to our dozens of web developers all across the globe plus our local staff riders Magnus, Olufunke and Olaniyi that have helped drive our tiny company to its current success.

So I look at this recognition, not as “Okechukwu Ofili” a top 40 innovator, but rather as “Okadabooks” a top 40 innovation. An innovation that will not be possible without the above people. Thanks a bunch.

And yeah if you are reading this and you have not yet downloaded okadabooks better do so here http://bit.ly/okadabook [Android] and http://bit.ly/okadawindows [Windows].

Oh and if you don’t believe the picture was wan kind, see below…lol … but in all honesty we are appreciative of the recognition.
