The Over Glorification Of #BokoHaram

This post has been seen 5496 times.

If ever the Boko Haram leader had a mission statement it would read something like this:

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.
Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t.
And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be.
And what it wouldn’t be, it would.
You see?
You don’t see? BOMB

Alice In Wonderland Abubakar Shekau in LocoLand

But yet when the media talks about Abubakar Shekau the declared leader of boko haram they use words like intriguing, complex and intelligent. In fact the BBC describes Shekau as “a fearless loner, a complex, paradoxical man – part intellectual, part gangster.”

Huh? When last I checked he was a cold blooded murderer responsible for attacks on unarmed children. But yet the media international and national give him and his organization credibility by saying stuff like boko haram is getting more sophisticated in their attacks. There is nothing sophisticated about opening firing on unarmed children in the middle of the night and then running into bushes. It is crude and it is cowardly.

And the media, you me and everyone should start describing boko haram and its leaders as what they really are. A cowardly terrorist organization that not only picks on unarmed citizens but children as well. Let’s stop the over-glorification of boko haram. There is nothing sophisticated or intelligent about killing children. Nothing.

  1. They are spineless cowards, when I heard about the 1st Nyanya bombing I wondered they didn’t try and detonate their bombs at the wedding that took place the previous weekend.

  2. Yup! Absolutely right there’s nothing smart or intelligent about killing children. Hopefully we as a society can start thinking like this.

  3. I had a feeling that I’d like it. Simple and straight to the point. BH are overfed on the attention. They need a TIME OUT

What is real and awfully sad is the lives that are lost. The properties destroyed, the homes uprooted. Its crazy. Its crazy what they’ve turned us into.
