Warning: Your Children Are Lions

They might seem cute and cuddly when they are young. And might keep quiet when we scream or beat them. And may not resist when we try to control them.

But one day they will grow. Grow into big strong independent lions.

And if you treat them like you did when they were young cubs they might just bite you!

  1. Very true.
However, I can understand the difficulty in cutting the apron strings and recognizing these youngsters as “young lions”. I find myself doting on my youngest brother sometimes and feel genuinely hurt when he claps back. He’d always ask me “when you were my age, would you have taken this from your elder sister”. The answer is always no.

  2. Consider getting a dog for your children as an early-warning system. A dog can see, smell, and hear a cougar sooner than we can. Although dogs offer little value as a deterrent to cougars, they may distract a cougar from attacking a human.
