I stumbled across this lady on twitter…she has some of the most basic tweets I know. But despite that she has an enthusiastic follwership of over 10,000! Her tweets are surrounded by other intellectual and inspiring tweets, but despite that she is still able to stand out…and the one reason is her profile picture…which in nice words is “extremely and intermittently seductive”

LESSON: The seductiveness of your profile picture is directly proportional (in most cases) to the amount of friend requests (aka marriage proposals) and followers you can accumulate. I can prove it!

So one day, I and a female friend are discussing about a guy who really likes her…he is polite, well spoken, dresses nice, intelligent and more. She likes the guy also but is hesitant about a relationship with him…according to her, he is too PERFECT…he is so PERFECT she suspects that he must be GAY!!!

CONCLUSION: Some women have no idea what they really want in a guy…

The Evolution Of Mom

So my Mom calls me up last week, but this time our conversation is different! We can’t go 1 minute without the words MARRIAGE popping up from time to time. How time flies…only several years ago she was telling me how dangerous girls were…now I can’t go one week without hearing about how fantastic a girl is for my life…smh…

Stuck in the office late on Friday…I begin to listen to COLDPLAY and I get to AMSTERDAM a song I truly adore and love! I must have listened to it a thousand times in the past, but this time it was different. It was as if I heard every word, every sound and every lyric…including the words “I’m dead on the surface/But I am screaming underneath” Those lyrics moved me, because that was me as a child, as a youth, as a teenager, when everyone said I could not succeed. I heard from the Teacher, from Friends, from Family members and those words killed me on the surface, but deep down I still believed.

But what ends up happening most of the time is that our packages of peace are unwrapped at the most inconvenient moments…during an arguement or even during a divorce proceeding when it is too late! COMMUNICATE it can save your relationship.

So every time I refer to myself as an ARTIST some smart person always takes time to remind me that stick figures don’t qualify as art! And every time I hear that, I can’t help but get annoyed not because of the subtle hit-job, but because of the limiting factors people place on themselves. A limiting factor that says:

If you don’t draw like everyone else then you’re not an artist.
If you don’t dance like everyone else then you’re not a dancer.
If you don’t blog like everyone else then you’re not a blogger.

No wonder so many people today are running around trying to create the next huffingtonpost or the next facebook, instead of trying to create the next innovation.

So this sketch “Everyone is born an artist” is simply me drawing a LADY as everyone else see’s her and me sketching her in my stick figure fashion…eat that HATERS!
