Beware The Manager On Fire

You know him or her, the one rising up the company ranks at a staggering pace.

The one that gets shit done in the last minute when shit is all over the place. The one that everyone knows is getting stuff done because when they do it … it seems so heroic!

But the problem with the manager on fire is that like an Arsonist they cause all the fires they battle.

But the corporate America does not care, they reward the Manager on fire with more fire! Literarily setting their asses on fire as they shoot them up the corporate ladder!

The Manager on fire putting out the very same fires they created and looking great while doing it!

Good day Ikechukwu, please I need your advise on something really important. I need to talk to you please help me out here. Thanks and regards.

  2. Those are called “shooting stars”, the problem with shooting stars is that they fall with the same speed with which they rise and their crash is always fatal.

    • I don’t think you understand what Mr Ofili means, he is simply talking about those very “dedicated” employees who go up the corporate ladder burning with so much energy and doing all the work like a boss, while thinking that they would be able to get to the top with less work. The truth is that those managers are simply given more work to do. I got my view from the book “How to Manage” J. Owen
