A Very Short Article On Being Cool

This post has been seen 6993 times.

They thought it was cool to slap juniors upside the head.

To walk into a room and have juniors dashing for their lives.

They thought it was cool to be feared by everyone even their peers.

Thought it was cool to make juniors suffer for no reason … except that that’s the way its been done.

And the problem is that we all thought it was cool …

Until we graduated, started working and realized the stupidity of our coolness.

As we saw those same juniors the ones we made run around, the one we made fear us … holding their own in the crazy busy world as doctors, mothers, fathers and entrepreneurs. Too cool to talk to us. Then we realize how silly it all was.

Let’s break the cycle of cool today!

  1. Seriously, there are people that after so many years and even without bearing a grudge, i find it difficult to see as decent humans, how much more spouses or parents. What kind of heart does it take to beat someone half your size unconscious and just walk away?

  2. I was a victim of d cool seniors in my first two years of secondary school and it left a gr8 psychological wound on me for years. something needs to be done abt it

  3. What we thought was cool then was simply us trying to hide our insecurity. If you have to tell someone you are older than them, you probably don’t deserve to be respected. Pepper & knife no dey claim respect, we respect them from afar.

  4. Quiet as kept, there are 2 to 3 seniors who if I saw today, I might kick square in the nuts.

Or do something passive aggressive that has longer lasting effects.

I’m glad I was not a cool senior in the days. I simply went about minding my business and doing my business myself my own way without the paranoial feeling of drinking from a cup of water (and saliva).
